Our Mission Statement

Thunderbird Christian Elementary is a Christian school owned and operated by the Arizona Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  It is accredited by the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.  The school is committed to serving Christian youth in the Valley of the Sun!

It is the purpose of Thunderbird Christian Elementary to teach the student to develop a personal relationship with Christ, to love and respect God above all others, to show kindness and understanding to his fellow man, to be interdependent with others, yet, be an independent thinker.

Thunderbird Christian Elementary is committed to providing a learning climate so stimulating that the students will desire to attend school.  A proper balance on the development of the physical, mental, social, and spiritual growth of each student is emphasized.  It is only as this fourfold education is accomplished that youth can grow to better serve their country, community, church, and God.

As a school operating under the jurisdiction of the Arizona Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Thunderbird Christian Elementary School administers all educational and financial policies on a non-discriminatory basis.  Students that qualify are admitted without regard to race, ethnic origin, or religious affliliation, and are accorded equal rights and privileges pertaining to facilities and general activities.

"True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study.  It means more than a preparation for the life that now is.  It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man.  It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental and the spiritual powers.  It prepares the student for the joy of service in the world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come."  Education, page 13
